Creature Feature Dungeon

I bid thee welcome to Creature Feature The Weekly Web Program!

The Bats of Summer!! from Gore De Vol on Vimeo.

As summer winds down, my mind goes back to the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.  It was 100 years ago this year!!   The team history reads like a horror story complete with curses, strange animal behavior and just a lot of bad luck.  So, I thought to myself, "Why not show a horror movie involving baseball?"

Well, I couldn't find one, but I did find a Vincent Price film, whose title conjures up images of the game. I'm talking about, "The Bat," which you can watch in The Lab!

Are you ready for a BAT that would not be welcome on the ball field?  Heck are you ready for a BAT that wouldn't be welcome anywhere....except on your model shelf.  The Mad Skotzman built one and you can see it in the CreatureScape Pit!

One of TV's hottest shows for the past several season is "Battlestar Galactica!" One of the more interesting characters on the show is Romo Lampkin, who is played by veteran actor mark Sheppard.  I had the opportunity to meet and interview Mark a couple of weeks ago and I'm proud to bring it to you. You'll find him On The Rack!

Rock Savage, the world's most dangerous film maker, is BACK!!!

This time he's looking at the history of Monster Rock 'n Roll! This incredible essay brings together, Zacherle, Bobby Boris Pickett, Arthur Brown, Alice Cooper, Kiss and the new group Lordi.

Don't miss this great offering being served up in The Dining Room!

Athena, The Crowgrrl, looks to the snow capped country of Switzerland for this week's musical review.  The band's name is Eluveitie and their new album, "Slania" is reviewed for you in The Chamber!

She also has in interview with band member Chrigel Glanzmann!  Read it now down by The Moat!

Dita Dirt Nap tickles your funny bone by taking an in depth look at "ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET THE MUMMY" Visit her in The DEN!

My big "Doomsday" Contest is over and my NEW contest, where you could win one of TWO copies of "The Scorpion King 2" DVDs begins!  Everything you need to know is in The Game Room!

My TombKeeper was with the rest of the Creature Feature crew at Horrorfind 10 last weekend.  So, to make up for not having any new reviews last weekend, she has SEVEN reviews this week and one of them is another fascinating collection of uncollected works from Richard Matheson!  Read them all in The Tomb!

By the way, my lowly TombKeeper has done a remarkable Q&A about zombies for this book by Jonathan Maberry that's due out on Aug. 26!

She also has a story in an upcoming anthology that's to benefit the "Scares That Care" Charity. For more details, just click on the cover!

Halloween Jack has updated all the wonderful bits of historical horror history and pays homage to the ABC "made of TV" movies of the 70's and 80's in  the Hall of Horror History!

I had a GREAT time at Horrorfind 10!  I want to thank all of you who attended and stopped at my table to say "Growl" or something similar.  We had a fun time Friday night as I did a short version of my Horror Filled Stage Hypnotism Show!  On Saturday night, I was joined by actors Dee Wallace and Ken Foree in presenting the fantastic Costume Contest!  I've put to music a slide show of the festivities in both HD and SD.  You can watch it in The Library!

I've collected one hell of a list and you can spend most of the rest of your life enjoying them all.  But if you only want to sample a few, you still can hunt and peck through the list of links you'll find when you visit The Attic!

Prof. Griffin, through his son, has become frightfully aware of the hypnotic power of a vampire's eyes! Now, as a stage hypnotist, I could have told him all about it, but sometimes it's best to learn on your own.  You  can read is very interesting essay in  The Auditorium

Tech Stuff

Many of you use "Firefox" as your browser and that's a very good choice....except that it doesn't come with a plug-in that allows you to hear embedded music like I have on this program.  I searched for a long time to find out how to make the music play with "Firefox" and I finally found a site that gives the answer....step by step.  Most importantly, it works!  If you would like to expand your browser please go to The Morgue!
